My aunt decided to drive to Sekinchan to visit one of her friends during the three days holiday. i am just tagging along since it is my holiday and i've seen that friend of hers before. Fyi, Sekinchan is a small town located in the state of Selangor. Apart from that, Sekinchan is one of the major rice producing areas in Malaysia. Roughly four and a half hour drive from Pearl of Orient. In Sekinchan you will not only find paddy fields but also fishing village.
The journey to Sekinchan is kind of new experience to me as we don't pass the usual North-South Expressway. From Penang, we took Changkat Jering exit and from there we drove through villages and plantation to reach Sekinchan. It is indeed a bumpy journey and not so exciting drive.
Some random pictures along the way to Sekinchan
Ever since i started to take the Logistics course, i am always alert when i see ports. XD
Here i am in Lumut Port.
After the hours of drive, we finally reached Sekinchan. As a host, my aunt's friend invited us for a lunch at her house. In the evening before going for dinner, we were taken a round the paddy field. Everytime going back to UUM, i'll pass through the paddy fields but i haven't get the chance to have a close ups with the paddy. But i did that day. They pulled their car just right beside the paddy.
The view is just amazing. Blue & Green
Close up of the paddy
Another side of the paddy field
Tractors. Usage? XD
After the amazing sight seeing, is time for dinner. We are heading to Kuala Selangor for seafood.
Here we are at River View Seafood Restaurant.
The restaurant is full and to kill some time i snapped some shots.
View from the restaurant.
I've got no words to describe this.
After waiting for quite some time, the food is here. Something i don't like the way their restaurant works. I would say Penang's restaurant management are way better than theirs. How things work there? Instead of serving all the dishes for a table, the serve same dishes to the whole restaurant. Therefore, it makes the restaurant pack for no reason as each table has to wait for their turn to get all their dishes. Enough of the complaining. Back to the food.
Fried sotong
Steam fish and the fish looks cute right?
Crab + Milk (i can't remember the actual name)
i love this and it was my first time eating crab that way
Something not to be missed when you are there-To buy the KEROPOK!!!
That's our day. Time to take a warm shower before going Zzzz.
