Trip To Taman Negara-30 May 2008

We left the house 7 something... YL's cousin dropped us at KL Sentral and from there we took the monorail to Raja Chulan's station where Crowne Plaze Hotel (pick up point to Kampung Tembeling's jetty) is situated at the opposite side... The bus depart from Crowne Plaza at 9am sharp and we reached the jetty 12 something... The road to the jetty is like roller coaster... A bumpy journey i would say-going up and going down... Didn't manage to snap the picture but it is something like this

As it was Friday, the boat leaves at 2.30pm... We linger around the jetty for like 2 hours and i was BORED... Nothing much can be done there plus the weather... Sigh...

The floating restaurant

At last, we reached taman negara around 5pm after travelling for more than 6 hours...

The transport that we took to reach this destination would be:

Car, Monorail, Bus, Boat

The boat journey was GREAT-water splashing, the scenery, the wind... It rains not long after we reached... Our plan to have our dinner at the floating restaurant at the opposite had to be CANCELLED... The only place in Mutiara would be the restaurant and the ONLY thing we can get is the dinner buffet that cost us RM60 each... sigh....

Luckily, the rain stop after that... Just in time for us to the first activity which is Night Jungle Walk... No pictures on the activities... i kinda of freaked out half way thru the walk... Most probably because it is very dark and i sort of walking alone behind my aunt... A lot of interesting flora and fauna are found there such as 8 eye spider, luminance fungus, jungle cockroach, stick insect, giant grass which we call bamboo, pink mushroom, sambar deer and lots more... i've learned something there that is how to differentiate the cricket... The baby of a cricket will have a longer antenna compare to the adult...

The night walk was AMAZING but yet scary... Thank God i didn't encounter any leeches as the walk is after rain and the weather is damp... One of the boy in front encounter IT... Lucky me... hehe...
